RUTHERFORD MODEL OF AN ATOM

Rutherford and his understudies had done a famous alpha scattering examination to contemplate the structure of a bit.

ALPHA PARTICLE SCATTERING EXPERIMENT


He took up a wobbly gold foil and shelled this foil with a generous alpha particle ( helium centers ). He set up a zinc sulfide screen and saw that an unobtrusive glint of light made on the screen.

Observation


1. By far most of the alpha particles experienced the gold foil without undeflected.

2. A little division of the alpha particles was stayed away from by a little point.

3. A very few atoms get ricocheted back, that is, were redirected by 180°.

1. By far most of the space in the atom is unfilled as a huge bit of the alpha particles experienced the gold foil.

2. Two or three positive charge alpha particles get stayed away from. This is a direct result of the nefarious force between the atom and alpha particles. The positive charge must be pressed in an uncommonly little volume.

3. Two or three particles get avoided back by 180° shows that the volume required by the center is irrelevantly particularly little when appeared differently in relation to the hard and fast volume of the particle.
